Winnebago Youth Shelter Receives Handmade Donation from Employees

Children at the Winnebago Youth Shelter received a donation of fleece tie blankets handmade by employees.

We had a blast making the blankets during our company strategic planning retreat last month.

The team-building activity was a way to continue supporting the Youth Shelter and safely share an experience together.

The Winnebago Youth Shelter is this year’s recipient of the Ho-Chunk Way Employee Donation Program.

Each year, employees identify a Winnebago community priority we can make a direct and lasting difference.

Participating employees choose to make a one-time or recurring donation through our payroll system.

The Winnebago Youth Shelter provides a safe space for children who have been removed from their homes and have not yet been placed in foster care.

Additional support services focus on improving and creating hope and opportunity for youth through mental health counseling, advocacy, education and healthier lifestyles.

We look forward to presenting the first donation check early next year, which is helping with essential facility improvements.
